• About the Ivy & Pearls Community Advancement Foundation, Inc.

    The Ivy & Pearls Community Advancement Foundation was established December 2019 by the members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., Lambda Eta Omega Chapter. The Ivy & Pearls Community Advancement Foundation (I&PCAF) operates as a partnering agent with Lambda Eta Omega Chapter serving Etowah County. The Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and exists to support broad educational, charitable and community service programs that uphold the mission and values of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. in the community we serve.

    Mission

    The mission of the Ivy & Pearls Community Advancement Foundation, Inc. (Foundation) is to secure and provide resources in support of educational and charitable initiatives, with a wide range of outcome focused functions geared toward serving and enhancing the community. 

  • Purpose 

    One mission of the Foundation is to advance and support education by providing underserved students with the financial assistance needed to attend college.

     

    The second purpose of the foundation is to set a course for perpetual provision of program and service to the African-American communities of Gadsden and the surrounding areas by supporting charitable community programing. This shall be done by supporting programs that provide services to improve the health and social livelihood of all persons in the community (particularly communities of color) and to increase the public's awareness on issues of health and social livelihood within the community.
